Israel shoots Palestinian teenager dead

A Palestinian teenager has been shot dead by Israeli forces. The teenager was accused of stabbing two Israeli officials. The incident took place in East Jerusalem, according to an Al Jazeera report.

The accident took place at around 4:30 am local time on Sunday at the entrance of Al Aqsa Mosque in Bab Hata town.

Upon arrival at the scene, a medical officer declared the teenager dead. Israeli police say two officers were slightly injured in the stabbing. Palestinian officials have not commented on the report.

Following the incident, Israeli forces closed all entrances to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. According to local media reports, the teenager was a resident of Al Tur area of ​​East Jerusalem. After the teenager was killed, his brother was arrested.

In 1967, Israel occupied the eastern part of Jerusalem, in violation of international law. Most countries did not accept the Israeli occupation. Earlier, on March 1, Israeli forces shot dead three Palestinians in the West Bank.
