Russia's cats did not get relief from the ban!

Boycott of Russia, aid to Ukraine - the position of various global organizations on the issue of the recent conflict between the two countries is now very much the same. Many organizations, such as FIFA, have decided to exclude the Russians from their global activities and competition, just as many organizations have announced they will suspend business in Russia in the face of Western sanctions in protest of the invasion of Ukraine. The last victims of such a move are the Russian cats.

The International Cat Federation (FIF) recently announced that no cats related to Russia will be able to compete in the future due to the aggression in Ukraine.

 "We are shocked and alarmed by the Russian aggression in Ukraine," the group said in a statement. We can't just sit back and watch this 'atrocity' and do nothing.

They have announced that from now on, cats owned by people living in Russia will not be allowed to enter any FIF exhibitions. The ban will remain in effect until May 31.

In addition to sanctions on Russia, the International Cat Federation has announced that it will provide financial assistance to cat breeders in Ukraine. The organization said its members in countries bordering Ukraine were extending a helping hand to Ukrainian cat breeders.

Founded in 1949, FIF is often referred to as the "United Nations for Cats". Each year, they host more than 700 exhibitions around the world, with more than 200,000 cats from 40 countries participating.
