The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine is intensifying. Russia's attack is not being stopped by any discussion or action. The United Kingdom has called on its citizens to leave Russia. Qatar-based Al-Jazeera reported in a report on Saturday (March 5th).
The British government said in a statement to citizens that if it was not necessary to stay in Russia, leave the country on a commercial route. The United Kingdom has given strong instructions in this regard. Earlier, the country advised citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia.
Russia invaded Ukraine on the tenth day. The security forces of President Putin's government launched a military operation in the country on February 24. Security forces of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also stepped in to repel enemy forces. Intense fighting is still going on between the two sides.
The situation is tense in various cities of Ukraine due to the continuous shelling of Russian troops. Ukraine accuses Russia of carrying out attacks targeting civilians. Intense fighting is also taking place in the cities of southern Ukraine bordering the Black Sea. Russian troops are also attacking from the north and east of the country.
Meanwhile, Russian troops have reportedly taken control of the town of Kharson. Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, is also under attack. There have been several bomb blasts in residential buildings. Ukraine is claiming civilian casualties.
